You Are Our Gift
If you are reading this then you have continued to receive the gift of life and time for you to unwrap it.
Now it’s time to realize that you are a gift. We all need you to unwrap the gift within you, which is you. When you present the gift of the true you to the world, you will find your purpose.
To do that you must be who you were created to be. In the great symphony of life, a violinist needs to be a violinist and a pianist needs to be a pianist.
“A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself. What a man can be, he must be”. — Abraham Maslow

RWA
You begin your day by being grateful. You’ve unwrapped your gift (see yesterdays post). Now to bring all of you, to all the day brings your way, think RWA.
R=Ready W=Willing A=Able
Ready – is from all the previous lessons given to you to train and prepare you.
Willing – is your choice, choose willing.
Able – it’s a given that you are, otherwise these challenges wouldn’t come to you.
Make this your mantra when you start the day and as challenges of any stripe come your way anytime. Say silently or out loud “I am RWA” (or say the words), and believe it.
R— “Good judgment comes from bad experience”.- Elderly wise person
W—“It’s choice, not chance that matters.”- Jean Nidetch, founder of WeightWatchers
A—“Imagine if a bird was unaware that its wings enabled it to fly.”- The Rebbe
Good News and Bad News
The bad news is you cannot get younger. The good news is you can be re-born or renewed. Every breath, every moment is given so that you may grow and come closer to fulfilling your ultimate potential. It is the world and you being re-created. When you see every moment as a gift for you to unwrap you are re-born. Unwrap that gift and you will find all that you need to become the newer and improved you.
“No man steps in the same river twice, for it is not the same river and he is not the same man”. – Heraclitus
“A man is what he is, not what he used to be”. – Yiddish Proverb
Dancing In the Rain (from Friday’s quote)
Friday’s quote generated many positive responses. Yet the question remains, How To? Sing along with me “I’m dancing in the rain”, oh, wait that’s “singing in the rain”- Gene Kelly. Same difference. Dancing or singing in the rain begins with attitude (or is it gratitude). If one trains themselves to see any adversity as an opportunity for learning and strengthening, then one can be glad for the challenge presented (not to be confused with wishing for) Remember the attitude and lesson of Rabbi Nachum Ish Gamzu, who said no matter what happened to him, “This too is for the good”. That thought allowed him to find the good or create the good.
“I learned much from my teachers, more from my books, and most from my troubles”. – Baraisos de Rabbi Yitzchak
“In life, it doesn’t matter how hard you can hit, it’s how hard you can get hit and still keep moving forward”. – Rocky Balboa (Rocky Vl)
A Quick Thought that Deserves Lots Of Thought
“Life’s not about waiting for the storms to pass…It’s about learning to dance in the rain” -Vivian Greene

We Are All “Special Needs” People
“Everyone has special needs. Some have obvious ‘handicaps’ and some have hidden challenges yet the journey is with one purpose in mind…growth. G-d created people, each with individual needs. Each soul is special”. Chana Scop
