“To Be a Super Human”
In the books “Outliers” by Malcolm Gladwell and “The Talent Code” by Daniel Coyle we learn that success comes from practice, practice not talent or talent alone. Imagine how successful one might be if they also began with talent. Being the true “you” human that you were destined and created to become does begin with an innate talent. So let that talent be transcendent through constant practice. For this practice we don’t have to wait to be on the court or at the piano. We have the opportunity to practice being a “Super Human” every single moment. Make it a lifetime of practice for the practice of life.

A Quick Thought That Deserves a Lot of Thought
“Our aim is not to be superhuman, but to be super humans”. – Rabbi Shraga Silverstein
Amateur or Professional
You have an idea that you are excited about. Then your (negative) inner-voice says “if it’s such a good idea it would have already been done, besides there are people much smarter than me who could do this”. This is what your (I can) inner-voice should say back

How Do You Know Who You Are?
Sing along with me “Who are you, who, who, who, who…” The Who. The true you is found in the giving you. It is embedded in your soul. The “I” can be a taker, but the true you is a giver. So we have to ask ourselves, is what we do a giving for the benefit of others. If the answer is yes, then you have found you. You matter, not because you are, but by what you do and give.
“It’s not who you are underneath , it’s what you do that defines you” – Batman in “Batman Begins”
“The heart that gives, gathers” – Marianne Moore
You Are Not Just Matter. It Is You That Matters
You matter because your uniqueness is your contribution to all that each of us wishes for this world. When each of us plays our role to our fullest (and unlimited) potential we will get there. A quarterback is a quarterback. If he tried to play another position during a game, what would the result be? We are all depending on you and vice versa. That’s a tremendous responsibility. Yet isn’t it wonderful to matter? So go be you to its fullest. We need that you!!
“To be or not to be is not a question of compromise. Either you be or you don’t be”. – Golda Meir
If I am I because I Am I…
“If I am I because I am I, and you are you because you are you, then I am I and you are you. But, if I am I because you are you, and you are you because I am I, then I am not I and you are not you”. – R’Mendel of Kotzk
Simply stated, what that means can be summarized by
“Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.” – Oscar Wilde.
While that’s correct, let’s look a little deeper and ask why be you. If your life has a purpose (and it does) then you cannot find and fulfill that purpose without you being you. Your value is the unique you. There is no one else like you and therefore no one else can fulfill your purpose. Giving and sharing that unique you matters.
You are not just matter. It is you that matters.
