Talk Is Cheap
As it is said “Talk is cheap”, but it is a way to start your engine. Believing you can is revving your engine. Now take your foot off the brake, put your dream in drive, and keep your foot on the gas .
“If the track is tough and the hill is rough, thinking you can just ain’t enough!” – from Shel Silverstein’s poem “The Little Blue Engine”

Always Fight Like A Champion
Proper training for a boxer or any athlete requires both physical and mental preparation. Who you are going into the fight will be a big determinant of your success. As you fight for your dream, goal, or purpose your mindset will determine how you see any setbacks. You can see a “failure” as a knockout punch or just the loss of a round, from which you can become a better fighter. You can change your mindset for the next round. Someone once said that even when Muhammad Ali was losing, he fought like a champion.

A Quick Thought That Deserves Lots of Thought
Consider that this quote was said by probably the greatest mime of all time. Less well known is that his father perished in Auschwitz, his mother survived, and he was able to hide and join the French resistance.
“Do not the most moving moments of our lives find us without words?” – Marcel Marceau
“I’d Rather Be Here Now”
The title of this post was seen on a license plate frame.
You will find joy wherever you are with this mindset. You may not want to be where you are right now, but this is where you need and are needed to be for now.
You can plan on changing where you are (sing along, We gotta get out of this place” The Animals) but while you are where you are, enjoy it by making yourself valuable.
By being valuable where you are, you fulfill a purpose and prepare yourself for your next stop. You wouldn’t go to a party empty handed. At least be like Seinfeld and bring a Chocolate Babka. Make people glad that you are there for what you bring.

Uncertainty Of Life
Recent weather patterns and the state of the economy are reminders on a grand scale of the certainty of the uncertainty of life. Can we be prepared for uncertainty in our personal lives? Certainly, the answer is yes. The first step is to accept that all which comes our way is ultimately for us to find ourselves. A good athletic trainer constantly throws new drills at his athlete. How the athlete approaches those changes determines his improvement. We can choose to see the struggles presented to us as a wall or a hurdle. A hurdle can be jumped over. Training ourselves to jump the hurdles welcomes and makes the next one easier.

WIP
Okay, there are indeed things that we can’t do today. They are the things that we are not putting off, but rather are or should be preparing to do. A beginner diver can’t do a triple somersault on day one. Through proper training and desire the diver makes progress and gets closer everyday. Our path to our dream, purpose, or goal is to get stronger, healthier, and better (Heart and Soul) in all we do everyday. We are all a WIP-A Work In Progress. Think of yourself that way, and all the progress you have to look forward to. It will create the desire for more.

Tomorrow, Tomorrow
It has been said that which we find the most difficult to do or overcome is just why we are here. As we move closer to realizing our dreams and goals there is always something that remains undone. That little thing, which we make big by putting it off, keeps us from the finish line. Sing along, “Tomorrow, Tomorrow I’ll do it tomorrow. Today is just a day to waste”, not from “Annie”.
