Traveling Man

May 19, 2011

As we climb our mountain, our journey, it is tempting to ask ourselves “Am I there yet?” The truthful answer is no. You are never really there. If you travel with your purpose, then you get closer all the time. You are closer but never there. As long as you’re here, you’re never there. Our potential is never fully tapped. Yet you will find joy in the constant growth and potential for more. If you find yourself asking that question, think and say

“But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep”. – From Robert Frost’s poem “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening”

At ninety-one the great cellist Pablo Casals was asked why he still practiced, he said

“because I am making progress”
