“Words Should Be Weighed, Not Counted” a Jewish Saying (part four)

 Words are indeed powerful.  They can hurt or they can warm and touch hearts.  We should choose our words carefully.  Before allowing a thought to become a word ask yourself “what is the goal of speaking these words?”  Let the arrow fly only if it will warm and inspire.

“Learn how to be silent — so that you’ll know how to speak”  —Rebbe Mendel of Vorki

 We have all been hit by an arrow of hurtful words, so remember this

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent” —Pesach and Chana Burston
